What the 1-10 score means

A 10 means best-in-class performance. Scores from 7 to 9 are strong and dependable. Scores from 4 to 6 are average and may still work based on your use case. Scores from 1 to 3 usually mean the experience is inconsistent.

10Best-in-class
7-9Strong
4-6Average / fit-based
1-3Poor / inconsistent

How we grade companies

  • We review public feedback and look for consistent patterns over time.
  • We look at response cues like speed, follow-up quality, and communication clarity.
  • We score transparency, including what is clearly shared about pricing and process.
  • We apply light category-specific weighting where it improves buyer clarity.
  • We revisit scores as new signals come in and update pages over time.
  • We do not accept payment to change a company score.
  • We may use provider-submitted information and verify details when possible.

Advertising & placements

Some companies may appear in sponsored placements. Sponsored visibility does not impact company scores.

Placement policy: Sponsored placements are labeled. Ranking scores are evaluated separately from placement programs.
